July 22 - 25, 5:30pm to 8:00pm

Children ages 3 to 11 are invited to join us as we embark on Answer’s Vacation Bible School, “The Incredible Race!” Kids will discover that, no matter where we live, what shade of skin we have, or what language we speak, we are all part of the same race - the human race - and Jesus wants us all to be in His family. Kids will experience God’s love for every tribe, language, and nation as they sing songs, play games, make crafts, do science experiments, hear stories and more! Dinner will be provided.

Meal Plan

A meal will be provided each day. Snacks and drinks will also be provided during the program. The main course will be as follows:

  • Monday (7/22): Spaghetti

  • Tuesday (7/23): Ham or Turkey Sandwiches

  • Wendnesday (7/24): Hot Dogs

  • Thursday (7/25): Leftovers

  • Sunday (7/28): Pizza Lunch after the church service

Children may bring an alternative from home if they prefer.

Bible Focus of Each Day

Monday: Focusing on Genesis 1-11, we explore the beginning of the human race and why nobody has run a perfect race through life.

Tuesday: On this leg of the race, we stop at Genesis 11:1-9 where we explore the tower of Babel and check out the important and loving roadblock God provided there.

Wednesday: On leg three, we see how the human race developed into people groups with different languages, culture, and physical features, but how we are still one race. We see this in Genesis 10, Psalms 139, and Acts 17:26.

Thursday: On our fourth leg, we discover the need to yield our lives to God as he reaches out to all nations, tribes, and peoples with his love as seen in Revelation 7:9-10.

Sunday: On the final leg, we look at Luke 10:25-37 as we learn from Babel that because God loves us, we also ought to treat others with love and respect, not prejudice and judgment.

An Overview

Each day we will travel to a different continent and discover highlights from that culture as teams race through stations to collect points to win the prize of the day. Each station will focus also on the theme of the day mentioned above. Below, you can find the rotation schedule for each grade.

Sunday Morning

On Sunday, families are invited to join us throughout the morning if they would like! Feel free to join your child as we do our opening assembly, games and crafts. You won’t want to miss our Final Closing Assembly in the main Sanctuary where we will see pictures of the week, watch the kids perform the VBS song, learn who won the final challenges, and watch the last drama of our VBS week. After the closing assembly, kids will make their way to their final lesson while parents are invited to enjoy the service and will meet back with families at the Family Lunch in the Fellowship Hall.
